Moodbidri, Apr 24: In a petition handed over to chief minister Yeddyurappa during his visit here on Thursday April 23, Koraga Gowda from Beltangady taluk complained against the high-handed attitude of sub inspector(SI) Sandesh of Karkala rural police station, who he said, had arrested, tortured and registered case again his son Shashidhar, suspecting him to be a naxal sympathizer.

"My son Shashidhar had visited the home of his brother Sudhakar in Hermunde on April 6. At that time, the said SI arrested him, thrust some pro-naxal literature in his bag and registered case against him. As a result, my family is facing gross injustice," Koraga Gowda explained.
