Daijiworld Media Network - Udupi (SN)

Udupi, Apr 25: As a member of parliament, D V Sadanand Gowda has failed to mitigate the problems the people of his constituency, like Chikungunya, maintenance of national highways and woes that have befallen on the areca growers. Hence, there is no hope of any development works getting done through such politicians, criticized Vinay Kumar Sorake, speaking at an electioneering meeting held at Petri near Brahmavar on Friday April 24.

“The BJP is trying to gain votes through disseminating cheap propaganda against the Udupi-Chikmagalur Congress candidate K Jayaprakash Hegde,” he said.

Terrorism is a global problem and The Congress Party is not responsible for everything that takes place on the earth and in the country. Each person must join hands to destroy terrorism, said Sorake.

Speaking on the occasion, Congress Party candidate Jayaprakash Hegde lampooned the BJP for following the practice of laying foundation for even minor jobs, which spells out the functioning style of that party. The people have chosen to become MLAs to increase their own business but none has the interest in addressing the irregularities and problems, he charged.

BJP can be said to be the first government that has withdrawn every facility provided to the public, he criticized.

Leaders like Udaykumar Shetty, Ramesh Shetty, Umesh Nayak, Basava Poojary, Gopi K Naik, Bhaskar Shetty and Krishna Madival were present on the occasion.
