Mangalore, Apr 25: A conference of youth voters titled 'Parivartane,' for the benefit of students was held at Town Hall here on Friday April 24.

The event was organized by Dakshina Kannada district Youth Voters Forum.

“The leadership should necessarily possess will-power, power of knowledge and willingness to work, the traits required to build a strong nation. The nation must be handed over to the persons with these three qualities,” opined Chakravarty Sulibele, 'Jago Bharat' convener, speaking on the occasion.

The more intelligent people are the root cause of the problems afflicting the nation, as compared to the laymen. The ignorant people cast their votes as per the right conferred on them by the constitution but people with a little or more of intelligence display their impudence by thinking that the nation does stand to gain or lose by their single vote,” he said.

As a result, worthy people remain in the docks and the worthless people rule the nation, said Sulibele.

Marshall K Ramesh Karnik, retired air vice marshal, presided over the programme.

Dr Bharat Shetty, Rajiv Gandhi Medical University syndicate member and Harish Poonja, Youth Voters Forum convener were present on the occasion.
