Beltangady, Apr 25: "BJP is behind the terrorism activities that we have been witnessing all over the nation. When the NDA was in power, it failed to regulate terrorism activities. Now they are doling out tall promises of containing this problem," said Kerala home minister Balakrishna Kodiyeri.

He was delivering electioneering speech at the programme organized by CPI-M at Marigudi Maidan here on Saturday April 25.

"The terrorists attacked parliament during the NDA regime. BJP was the party that let off several terrorists," he pointed out. If Advani become Prime Minister, terrorist activities are sure to aggravate all over the country, he apprehended. He also branded the Congress party as the mother of corruptions. "During the Congress rule, farmers committed suicide in large numbers. Even though churches were attacked elsewhere, such attacks did not occur in Kerala. If any attack had taken place, we would have arrested the culprits immediately. In Karnataka state, attackers get government protection," he alleged. He pointed out, that below poverty line families, fishermen and scheduled communities get rice at the rate of two rupees a kilogram in Kerala. "In the last election, 52% people rejected the Congress and the BJP and opted for a third alternative. Therefore, the Third Front has a bright future," he analyzed.

Ex-minister M C Nanaiah said that the state administration is now in the hands of three people who plundered the mineral wealth of the state. He predicted that the BJP will win less than 10 seats in the Lok Sabha election this time.

JDS taluk president Volambra Narayan Gowda presided. Third front candidate from DK constituency B Madhava, MLC Abdul Azim, Kerala Manjeshwar MLA Kunhambu, CPI (M) state executive member Neela, zilla panchayat member Rajasri S Hegde, ex-minister Subbaiah Shetty, ex-MLA G V Sriram Reddy, CPI-M taluk secretary Shivakumar, taluk panchayat vice president Vijay Kumar, members Vaman Tamhankar, Sukumaran, CPI-M state leader G N nagaraj, JDS leaders M B Sadashiv, J S Norohna, Pravinchandra and Sudarshan Hegde were present.
