Mangalore, Apr 27:
Candidates of various political parties use different tactics to impress the voters and attract them to the party. Such an instance took place at Suratkal where an independent candidate used the Nasik band and a puppet show by Kalladka troupe to garner votes.

Independent candidate Dr U P Shivanand is the one who resorted to these innovative methods of attracting supporters.

“The culture of violence that has emerged in the city must be curbed and provide security to the people. No one is above law”, said Dr Shivanand, speaking on the occasion.

“Terrorist activity which increases hatred between castes and religions must come to an end”, he said.
