Mangalore: Price Rise - Gift of UPA for People: Nalin Kumar

Daijiworld Media Network - Mangalore (SP)

Mangalore, Apr 27:  "The Congress Party is synonymous with price rise. The UPA government's administration is built on the foundation of corruption. Due to the increasing taxes levied by the union government, prices of necessities have been soaring. This is the priceless gift Manmohan Singh has given to the people of his country," commented Nalin Kumar Kateel, BJP candidate for Lok Sabha election, fielded from Dakshina Kannada Lok Sabha constituency.

He was addressing the voters after walking through Bykampady area, seeking votes.  "What does the Congress Party ministers, who roam around in air-conditioned cars, sit in air-conditioned bungalows, get advice from high-flying people and present budget after bending under the pressure of capitalists, know of the lives and tribulations of middle and lower class people?," he questioned. He called upon the people to vote for the BJP to bring a change at the centre.

The BJP governments have been known to implement the best possible schemes meant for the welfare of the people. There have been several instances in which Manmohan Singh himself praised these schemes. BJP is the party that will lead the people towards progress, he stressed.

Mangalore North Lo Sabha block BJP president Umanath A Kotian, secretary Yashwant Meenakalia, Fisheries Corporation president Ramachander Bykampady, corporator Tilakraj Krishnapura, Santosh, Lokesh Bhandary, Harish Bangera etc were present.

Dear Readers, you cant digest what this BJP candidate says. He is not an economist like PM Singh, he is not a graduate, he is just matric. What does he know about recession/inflation/deflation? Some one must have written speech for him. While BJP was in power the crude oil price has not gone beyond $30/- per barrel and at that time in India petrol was Rs. 42/- per litre. During UPAs rule the crude oil has gone upto $173/- per barrel. But UPA has no choice but to increase the price of petrol marginally by Rs. 10/- per litre, that to in stages. Petroleum is base mineral for all industries and if oil price goes up, then no one in the world can check the price increase. People have to understand this. But poor layman from the village wont know the implications of petrodollars on Indian economy. Nalin Kumar dare not speak to the educated people on this issue. Thats why this election is called election of misinformation and disinformation. Even in Karnataka, the price has gone up. What the BJP government has done to curb this price hike. BJP government of karnataka has no concern for poor man. Yeddi has great concern for swamis and temples. Instead of helping poor, he has paid 130 cr of rupees from tax payers money to temples and mutts who are already rich and there is no dearth of funds for them. Now can you please tell me is BJP people friendly or brahmin friendly??????

Mr Manu, recession or liquidity problems lead to deflation as the demand goes down, boom or shortage or demand lead to inflation. Correct interpretation of what Nalin is telling is poor people are unable to cope up with the price rise.

When degree holders, post-graduates have little understandings of economical jargons there is no harm in using simple language which every commoner can understand.

Mr. jossy tauro, price rise is natural in the world but in UAE people''s salary has also gone up everyday. If UAE cannot afford to hike the salary in propotion with the price hike then it will just deport all its Indian expatriates back to India washing off its hand comfortably. And India will end up paying for their rehabilitation.

You better  study the worldwide market and comment your comments. Don’t fool the publics giving your hostile statement for gaining votes.

He called upon the people to vote for the BJP to bring a change at the centre. what does he mean by this , if NDA comes to power people who are staying in shafts and travelling by bus will prepare the budget for the country or NDA finance minister will stay in a hut and travell by local bus without A/C, Mr Nalin Kumar why you misguide the people to get votes ?
