Probe Modi's Role in Godhra Riots - SC Tells SIT

Rediff

New Delhi, Apr 27: The Supreme Court on Monday asked the Special Investigation Team to look into the allegation that the Narendra Modi government in Gujarat did not allow the First Information Report to be registered into the killing of former Congress lawmaker Ehsan Jafri.

The apex court, which gave its direction on a complaint filed by Jafri's wife, directed the SIT to submit its report within three months.

The SIT, headed by former Central Bureau of Investigation director R K Raghavan, has been investigating 10 cases, including the Godhra train burning and subsequent riots. It had submitted its report to the apex court on March 2, 2009.

More details are awaited.

A woman accidentally kills one who was trying to assault and rape on her. Her fault though trying to defend herself is branded as crime. Modi''s case is similar. No one looks at the burning of the train bogey. what followed is branded as offence.
