Mangaluru: Tulu Sahitya Academy announces book awards for 2024, 2025

Mangaluru, Sep 9: The Karnataka Tulu Sahitya Academy has announced its prestigious book awards for the years 2024 and 2025.

For the year 2024, Yashoda Mohan’s work "Tadya Kadapunaga" has been selected for the award in the poetry category. In the drama category, Akshatha Raj Perla's play "Mandara Malaka" has bagged the honour.

For the year 2025, Rupakala Alva’s "Pammakkena Pormbaata" has been chosen for the novel award, while Ashok N Kadeshivalaya’s "Badk Baagyoda Bolpu" has been selected for the poetry award.

Each of these awards carries a cash prize of Rs 25,000 along with a citation plaque.

In a press release, Karnataka Tulu Sahitya Academy president Taranath Gatti Kapikad stated that the award presentation ceremony will be held at the Ravindra Kalakshetra in Bengaluru on October 4.
