Udupi: Brighten Your Future by Voting for Congress - Sudarshan

Daijiworld Media Network - Udupi (SP)

Udupi, Apr 28: The state BJP government is functioning in a way that is detrimental to the law and order situation of the state. Congress alone can brighten the future of the people of the country. The voters should therefore exercise their franchise in favour of the Congress Party, said former chairman of the state legislative council V R Sudarshan.

Addressing an electioneering meeting organized by the Congress party on Monday April 27, he said the BJP leaders have lost their senses, having been intoxicated by power. They are repeating the same old rhetoric that the centre is not providing any grants to the state. How can the people expect any development from such leaders? The voters of the coast should awaken to the present day situation and join hands to defeat the BJP by voting for the Congress, he pleaded.

Ex-ministers T B Jayachandra, B A Moidin and Vasant V Salian too requested the people to cast their votes for the Congress.  In his address, district president of the Congress Party M A Gafoor said that the BJP has been accusing the Congress Party of abetting and encouraging terrorism. The voters should realize that only the Congressmen fought and lost lives in terrorist-related incidents.

Kaup block Congress president Srikar Suvarna presided. National vice president of the party's labour wing Dr Nazir Ahmed, Youth Congress state secretary Namita Balakrishna, district Milk Producers Cooperative Union president Kaup Diwakar Shetty etc were present.
