Beltangady, Apr 29: Relating to the death of a youth named Jobi George (20) in a spot within Neriya forest near here that came to light on Saturday late evening, the investigating policemen reportedly have accessed some information.

Although it is said that Jobi had gone to the forest to bring bamboos required for making rabbit traps, there have been doubts about the motive of his visit to the forest, as people go to forest at night normally for hunting. Collection of forest produce is done during the day.

At the same time, Ambatemale area where the incident occurred, is known for recovery of colourful precious stones which have high value in the market that are naturally available beneath the earth. People say, those involved with this trade have illegal arms with them.

In the meantime, a youth from the area has disappeared, raising doubts about his possible involvement in the above incident. It is learnt, the policemen have planned to nab this man with the hope that they would be able to crack the case soon.
