Children from Dubai have been always fortunate when it comes to such events. Can someone come up with this idea of holding one workshop in Abudhabi. It is a hassle for us to bring our children to Dubai. It takes our whole day in commuting to attend such events.

While I agree with Roshan that our artists/musicians are all doing a great job in spreading the Konkani Suwad, there is some truth in what Ivan says. We have so many singers and musicians in our community. They compose songs, perform and produce albums. Why can’t they spare some time in training our children? At the moment we need some qualified and trained singers/musicians like Jossie to educate our younger generation.

We blame our children for not taking interest in Konkani music. When we don’t have such an environment how can we blame parents and children? I want my child to learn to sing, I am not a singer so whom shall I send him to?

dear Mr. Ivan D''Souza, dont criticeze promoters of konkani shows, albums and singers. everyone here is noble and doing a great job for our konkani culture and language. not everyone is fortunate to begin new concepts. Jossie is a great teacher and wonderfully talented. he is doing a great job and thanks to Ferrarites. your comments are totally misleading. find out facts and then comment.

This I think one of the most effective and noble community services an organization could do. These days while most of our organizations are engaged with holding nites, shows, and concerts, artists/singers are busy in promoting themselves through albums/CDs. Ferrarites UAE, you have done a wonderful job by creating a new concept in the community. Voice workshop is something I never heard about before. What I heard from one of the participant/child (my niece) is that this is very informative and interesting. I congratulate Jossie Moras for his achievements and innovation in the field of vocal music. I know many Konkani singers personally but as far as I know Jossie is the only singer from the Mangalorean community who is qualified with LTCL (Licentiate of Trinity College, London) in singing. I congratulate all those who are invoved in this noble cause of educating our children that includes Lancy Madtha, Jessy Moras, Herman Lewis and all parents who have realized the importance of this workshop
