Mysore: Mahendar Likely to Give Conditional Nod for Shruti's Divorce Petition

Daijiworld Media Network - Mysore (SP)

Mysore, May 12: In a development that has emerged after his hectic parleys to convince wife Shruti, sandalwood glycerin queen, to withdraw her divorce petition failed, Mahendar reportedly has decided to agree for the divorce, subject to her agreeing to a couple of conditions. With this, the marriage solemnized in 1998, is all set to break down within a few months.

It may be recalled, that Shruti, who is also a BJP leader and chairperson of the state Women and Child Development Board, had filed a divorce petition in a family court in Bangalore last week. While Shruti had claimed that the decision to seek divorce from her husband had been under consideration since the last few years, Mahendar had expressed shock and dismay over this development. Reportedly, Shruti's parents and brother have disapproved her move, but Shruti has refused to climb down from her decision to divorce Mahendar. In this backdrop, Mahendar held consultations with his relatives and well wishers in Mysore since the last few days and has finally decided to agree for the divorce, with two conditions.

It is said, the two conditions he wants to be fulfilled are, selling of a house in Bangalore worth about two crore rupees and three-acre land on Magadi Road in Bangalore, and payment of the share of the sale proceeds, as he claims to have invested in these properties, even though both of them stand in the name of Shruti. Secondly, he wants his daughter to be allowed to live with him, as the person whom Shruti wants to marry, is already married and having a child. Once Shruti marries, she might conceive again, and as such once the daughter has been given to his possession, Shruti should never contact her again, he is said to be demanding.

I appreciate shruthi to come out boldy and do what she thinks is right for her to do.I do not see anything in Shruthi marrying another person because she stopped loving him or started loving someone else. This is quite normal thing and she is afterall human . We cannot judge her by her onscreen image and define standards for her. But shruthis statement about mahendars financial insecurity , inability to take of child ..etc is unbelivable and cheap.

Though she might have given those reasons for the sake of court there was no need to go and give outrageous comments against mahendar. On other hand mahendar has not said a single thing against her.If this affluent celebrity couple cannot take of their children, it is just a shame.people toil their lives by driving rickshaws, doing coolie work, jobs to take of their children. In my own opinion (might be wrong)

I think shruthi has played helpless woman character for long and that has had a strong psychological effect that may have lead to development of persecution complex i.e, victimised wherein reality as mahendar claims, differences were quite normal. It seems that actresses (and we know that they have to undergo casting couch experiences, sexual exploitation more than normal indian women to achieve that)suffer from this kind of emotional disorders because after playing so many characters they become confused with their own identities which has different effects .. Shruthi needs some counselling so she can understand reality better.. Good luck.

Preplanned and premeditated for 8 long years. I feel sad for chakri wife and kid. This shameless lady gives the reason that he does not have money to care of her child. Hope s.mahendra marries this chakra varthies wife. And yes, BJP is lucky, if this has surfaced during election time, opposition would have won.

Having an 8 yr old child and being president of Karnataka Women and Child welfare Board, Shruti should have acted more responsibly. In her films, she acted like Sati Savitri and this is the underlying result. Even though personal life is not part of the public domain, this lady must have at least made these plans clear after the actual divorce.

Shruthi should fulfil Mahendra''s conditions . Failing to do so, Shruthi should be imprisoned for 7 years. She is a black spot among  women.
