Mangaluru: Seven indulging in sale of ganja in police net

Mangaluru, Jul 8: The police raided a lodge near Suratkal on the outskirts of the city on Monday July 8 after getting information that ganja was being sold there.

Garuda Lodge near Suratkal was raided. During the raid, seven persons who were staying in two of the lodge's rooms, were found to be in possession of drugs. Two cases have been registered against the accused. It is gathered that 500 grams of ganja was found in their possession.

The police said they would be writing to the local administration seeking suspension of the licence granted to lodge because of the fact that illegal activities were allowed to go on in its premises.
