Raichur: Four teachers suspended for improper work, bank irregularities

Raichur, Jul 27: Four teachers from the district, who were facing allegations of prolonged unauthorized absence from their schools and indulging in irregularities in GOCC Bank of the district stand suspended. Their suspension orders were issued by the additional commissioner of the department of public instruction, Dharwad, Maj Siddalingayya Hiremath. He has instructed the deputy director of public instruction to hold departmental inquiry against the accused.

President of GOCC Bank here Arjun Lamani, vice president Hanamanth Konavi, president of district government employees union Suresh Shedabyala and treasurer Zubera Kerur, are the teachers suspended. They had not properly attended their schools and by indulging in illegal transactions in the said bank, behaved in a way that does not behove of the post they were holding. Therefore they have been suspended, the commissioner said in his order.
