Byndoor, Jul 29: A youth who had visited a falls here along with some friends on Sunday July 28 evening, drowned there. He has been identified as Kumar Poojary (24) from Yadthare here.
Kumar had visited the falls along with some friends to spend holiday. When playing in the water, he lost his balance and fell into the falls. It is said that he fell down the falls as a rock under his feet slipped.
He was immediately brought out of water and taken to the government hospital at Kundapur. But he breathed his last on his way to the hospital.
A case of unnatural death in this respect was registered in Byndoor police station.
