Mangaluru, Jul 29: Karnataka Rakshana Vedike Dakshina Kannada president Lion Anil Das, District panchayat vice president Kasturi Panja, Kulal leaders advocate Ram Prasad, Laxman Kunder, Jayaraj Prakash, KPCC member R K Prathviraj, Thejaswiraj, author Anand Banjan, deputy commandant D Chandappa Moolya, Sujir Kudupu, Mescom engineer Manjappa, Girish Mumbai, Yuva Vedike office bearers Jayesh Govinda, Gangadhar Banjan, Bhasker Peruvayi, Janardhan Moolya Puttur, Amoolya Ganesh M R P L, Abbakka TV head Shashidhar Poyyathabail, Police varthe Ranjith Madanthyar, Veeranarayana temple head Damodar Kulal, Suresh Kulal, Premananda Kulal, Clay industries association head Nagesh Bajal, Nagesh Kulai, Suresh Kulal Bantwal, Surathkal association president Sudhaker Salian, Kulai association’s Gangadhar K, district Kulal association president Krishna Attavar, vice president Ramesh K N, Puttur Association president Krishnappa Kulal, Devi temple head Srinivas Maroli and other leaders paid their condolences on the sad demise of Tulu film song ‘Mokeda Singari’ fame, Tulu Sahitya Academy former president M K Seetarama Kulal who passed away on Sunday.

Seetarama was a resident of Bejai and was an employee of United Insurance Company. He entered dramatics through ‘Dasi Putra’ drama. He has written more than 25 super hit songs for more than 11 Tulu films.

He was not taking any payment during his 45 years service as artiste, songwriter, acting or dramas.

He was an excellent lover of Tulu language and an author. He had received several awards including ‘Tulu Ratna’, Permeda Tuluve’, ‘Tulu Siri’, Tulu Sahitya Rathnakara’, ‘Taulava award’ etc. Karnataka Tulu Sahitya academy had bestowed its award to him in 2014 and honored him. His death has created a void in Tulu film industry and the world of Tulu literature that cannot be made good.
