Udupi, Jul 30: Multi talented Panduranga Padtham, hailing from Hiriadka, here was awarded doctorate by International Virtual Peace University, USA.
He had introduced Udupi style Nagaswara to Dakshina Kannada district, played flute and shahanai, saxophone and took part in Yakshagana plays. He has learnt Karate, won international awards and become chief referee.
He has provided music for Janapada plays in the coast. He has written lyrics and provided music in music sector. He had won first prize in Hulivesha, won first prize in Akki Mudi throws and gold medal from Udupi Sri Krishan math seer.
He introduced high jumps and stunts of Hulivesha to Udupi.
His Tulu land D J song has remained fresh.
