Kundapur: Pedestrian dies as speeding Bolero knocks him down

Kundapur, Jul 30: In a tragic incident that occurred at Hemmadi near here on NH 66 on the morning of Tuesday, July 30, a pedestrian died on the spot when he was knocked down by a Bolero.

The victim of this accident is identified as Kushta alias Krishna Poojary (48), a resident of Santhoshnagar of Hemmady. The accident occurred when Krishna Poojary, who had come to the Hemmardy market on some work, was returning home by walk.

The Bolero, which knocked the pedestrian down, was plying from Kundapur to Byndoor. The driver of the Bolero tried to escape from the spot but was stopped by the alert locals.

A case in this regard is registered in the Kundapur police station. The body is shifted to the Kundapur government hospital for post mortem.
