Karkala, Aug 3: A Vanamahotsava programme of planting saplings near Belman temple was held in association with Nandalike Abbanadka Yuva Kendra which was presented best youth center in the district award and forest department Belman.
Belman zonal forest officer Prakashchandra set in motion the programme held under the slogan 'plant a sapling and protect the environment'.
Nandalike Abbanadka Friends Club president Rajesh Kotian, convener Abbanadka Sandeep V Poojary, entrepreneur Peralpade Devendra Shetty, Bola Padavu Friends Club president Umesh B Moolya, Abbanadka Sathish Poojary, vice president Harish Poojary, secretary Prashanth Poojary, treasurer Hariprasad Acharya, Sunita Pinto, Sunder Devadiga and others were present.
