Bengaluru: Woman strangles her newborn girl baby to death

Bengaluru, Aug 5: A woman from Rajagopalanagar here killed her own newborn female baby by strangling her neck with a veil. The child was 26 days old.

The killer mother, identified as Pavitra (36), from Rajagopalanagar here stands arrested for this crime. Pavitra confessed to the police that she killed her baby because it was a girl child and also because it had been suffering from breathing difficulties and some other ailments since birth.

The police, who have arrested Pavitra, have undertaken further investigation.
