Bengaluru Oct 31: Today happens to be the last date for filing of nominations to bypolls for two city corporations, six-city municipal councils, three town municipal councils and to fill 14 vacancies in urban local bodies and gram panchayats, the returning officials announced. The list of nominations found to be in order would be announced by the electoral officers concerned the same evening.
Scrutiny of nominations will take place on November 2. Time till 4 pm has been given for the withdrawal of nominations. Polling for Magadi, Beerur, and Kampli municipalities will be held on November 12. The state election commission has set up 1,388 polling booths. 13.04 lac voters are eligible to cast their votes.
