Udupi, Oct 31: In connection with the suicide committed by emerging national level pole vault athlete, Pravi Poojary Ampar (17) about eight years ago, the district and sessions court here postponed delivery of final verdict to November 16.

Judge of the district court, C M Joshim who had concluded the hearing in the case, had announced earlier that the order would be announced on October 10. Then the same was postponed to October 30. Sources said that the judgement has again been posted to November 16.

Prathvi Ampar, daughter of Shekhar Poojary from Ampar near Kundapur, who had been chosen for national level pole vault, had committed suicide on September 27, 2011, in the hostel at Varamballi near the college. In a suicide note she left behind, she had stated that a person identified as Misban from Brahmavar was pressurizing her to marry him. A case of abetment to suicide was therefore registered against Misban.
