Udupi, Jan 4: In a Pura pravesha preparation meeting, K Raghupati Bhat, honourary president, Sri Krishna Seva Balaga, addressing the press meet held at Admar Math guest house here on Saturday, January 4 said, “The grand traditional pura pravesha of Junior Sri Ishapriya Theertha of Admar Math to be held on Wednesday, January 8, will be begin from Jodukatte at 2 pm.”
“Swamiji will be brought in traditional procession. He will be go by walk to Sri Krishna Math to seek blessings of Lord Sri Krishna.
“According to the instructions given by senior seer Vishwapriya theerta Swamiji, the committee has decided to install Banana saplings to all welcome pillars with its roots. Because it can be replanted after the paryaya.
“Once in 15 days, Horekanike will be held. The first Horekanike procession will be held on January 15.
“After entering the city, poura sammana (felicitation) programme will be held at 8 pm at Car Street of Sri Krishna Math. But for the first time garland made of sandalwood and pearl stones is strictly prohibited.
“Plastic flex and banners are banned. Cloth material banners and bill boards should be used. In total, the seva balaga has decided to conduct eco-friendly programme. It is given emphasis to clean and
traditional items.
“The names of Acharya Madhwa, Sri Narasimha Theerta to Sri Vibhudesha Theerta Swamiji's would kept to the welcome gopuras.
“The committee is also giving an opportunity to youths, who are interested in designing arch using natural materials.
“More than 67 cultural teams of three sections of PPC students will perform in the procession. More than 50 bhajan teams will participate in traditional procession. Tableaus are banned in pura pravesha programme.
“R Ashok, minister for municipal administration, Basavaraja Bommai, home minister and district in- charge minister, Shobha Karandlaje, MP, Udupi-Chikkamagaluru and Dr Gururaj Karjagi, educationist, will be present.
“Sri Vidyadheesha Theerta Swamiji will be preside over the poura sammana stage programme accompanied by Sri Vidyarajeshwara Theerta Swamiji and other local leaders. Annamalai, former IPS officer, will address the occasion.
“A devotional singing performance will held by Nandini Rao and Ajay Warrior Bengaluru and team at Poorna Prajna mantapa, Car Street.
“The committee is all set to welcome ascending paryaya swamiji and we request the public to keep supporting eco-friendly, culture, and plastic-free paryaya,” he said.
Govindaraju, Subrahmanya Marpalli, Yashpal Suvarna, Pradeepa Rao, convenor, Raghavendra Rao and others were present in the press meet.
