Puttur, Jan 7: A minor girl studying in first PU class of a private college in the city was reportedly abducted by a youth belonging to her own community. The abductor reportedly abused her sexually. In this respect, a complaint was filed in Sampya police station here.
The incident is said to have happened four days back. The abducted girl from Volamogru was found by the police within the limits of this city. The police had initially lodged the complaint based on statement made by the girl's mother. After the girl was found, as per her statement, case under different sections of Protection of Children from Sexual Offences Act was registered. Charges of abduction and sexual atrocity have been included.
The accused happens to be Aneesh Dias from Rotaraipura in Chikkamudnoor village in the outskirts of the city. The police are searching for the accused.
