Bengaluru: Rape, conversion attempt, black mail - Case may go to CID

Bengaluru, Jan 8: The state government is likely to hand over the case relating to rape and conversion attempt of a girl from Kasargod district to criminal investigation department (CID). The case has attracted lot of attention and given rise to dispute and controversy.

Kasargod police have already arrested main accused Rishab, in the case. He has been remanded to judicial custody. On the basis of another complaint made by the victim Rishab's friend Ansar, who lives in a rented house within the limits of Parappana Agrahara police station where she was allegedly raped, has also been arrested.

As the incident involves two states, the state government is likely to transfer the case to CID, police sources stated.
