Bengaluru: Amit Shah to address CAA awareness rally in Karnataka on Jan 18

Bengaluru, Jan 8: Union Home Minster Amit Shah is scheduled to address an awareness rally on the Citizenship Amendment Act (CAA) at a massive rally at Nehru Stadium in Hubballi on January 18.

Not just Shah but union minister Pralhad Joshi and Anurag Thakur will participate in rallies in Karnataka to debunk the rumours regarding the CAA, said Karnataka BJP unit general secretary Mahesh Tenginkai at a press meet.

Giving details on BJP’s aggressive campaign on the CAA, he said that several rallies are planned to drum up support for the Act. Joshi will address rallies at Kalaburagi and Yadgir on January 11, and Raichur on January 12. Thakur will address rallies at Belagavi and Chikkodi.

Full day awareness campaigns will be held on January 11 and 12 by all BJP leaders from state and local units. BJP also has targeted to reach 30 lakh houses. They have planned to visit 50 houses in 58,000 odd booths. A ‘Bharat Mata Pooja’, bike and torchlight rallies are also planned, said N Ravikumar, BJP general secretary.
