Bantwal: Out of order truck moves suddenly, damages auto rickshaw

Bantwal, Jan 9: A truck that had developed some problems and therefore had been stranded at Soorikumeru near Mani in the taluk suddenly lunged ahead and hit an auto rickshaw. The incident happened on the morning of Thursday January 9.

A truck was parked by the side of the road at Soorikumeru on Wednesday night after encountering some problems which needed repairs. For conducting repair, the concerned had arrived at the spot in an auto rickshaw. During the repairs, reportedly the lorry eased to the neutral gear and moved ahead. It hit the auto rickshaw parked in front, and continued to push it ahead till the truck stopped after hitting a tree.

As no one was inside the three-wheeler at the time, no injury or loss of life happened.
