Kundapur, Jan 11: The annual festival of historic temple Amratheshwari mother of several children in Kota was held on Friday and Saturday, January 10 and 11 with pomp and gaiety. The rituals comprised of Gendotsava, Dekke Bali and Tula Bhara.

More than three thousand devotees took part in Gendotsava programme. Paramballi Baburaya Acharya, Sanjiva Acharya Kartattu and his team conducted the programme of walking on live coal. Suresh Jogi and Uday Jogi conducted Devi Darshana.

Local Yuvaka Mandalas Panchavarna Yuvaka Mandala Kota, Amrath Yuva Sangha Kadrikattu and Kotatattu Kalmady Yuvaka Mandala rendered service as volunteers.

Temple president Anand C Kunder, executive T G Sudhaker, managing committee members Anantsunder Shenoy, Vishwanath Shetty, Chandra Acharya, Chandra Poojary, Sudha A Poojary, Parvati Hande, Subraya Jogi and priest representatives were present.
