Mangaluru, Jan 13: The 7th day of novena at Infant Jesus Shrine was marked to pray for all teachers and children. Special prayers were offered for those children who face challenges in their life. Many parents along with their children attended different Masses especially 6 pm Mass which was celebrated in the open air, con-celebrated by number of priests and was accompanied by melodious choir by children led by Simon, the choir master.

All the homilies of different masses were based on the theme ‘Get enlightened’. The main celebrants and preachers were, Fr John Pinto OCD, Fr Nelson Almeida, Jeppu seminary, Fr Austin Peris from Derebail, Fr Rayan Pinto OCD, Fr Raymond Santhanaz OCD, a missionary from Tanzania celebrated Mass at 1 pm and Dn Ashwin D'Souza preached the homily. Fr Patrick Lobo OCD, Fr Rayan Pinto OCD, Fr Cyril Lobo from Bondel parish celebrated evening Masses.

Special prayer service and adoration for the intentions of the children was held in the morning after 10:30 Mass. There were six priests for the confessions and six deacons for prayers and blessings.

Like other days of novena, meals were served in the afternoon for the devotees.
