Mangaluru: Kota wants Thokur railway station to be named after Pejawar Swamiji

Daijiworld Media Network - Mangaluru (SP)

Mangaluru, Jan 13: Dakshina Kannada district in-charge minister, Kota Srinivas Poojary, has written to the union railway minister, seeking to rename Thokur railway station as 'Pejawar Railway Station', in honour of the late Sri Vishwesha Theertha Swamiji of Pejawar Math.

Thokur station is located within Konkan Railway Corporation and falls under Palakkad division of southern railways.

He has urged the railway minister to respect the demand and sentiments of local villagers and railway activists to change the name of the said station. He has expressed the feeling that this will result in honouring the sage who is no more, in a meaningful manner.

He said that the above demand has been on since 2016 when Jokatte railway station was formed. Railway activist G K Bhat, also said that MP Nalin Kumar Kateel, former minister K Abhayachandra Jain, Malavoor gram panchayat and others have also recommended to change the name of Thokur railway station into 'Pejawar'.

Sir, Really wonderfull for renaming newly built railway station in between Tokkuru and Padil Railway Station which lies near to an Ancient Pejavara Matha ( Ref: Km 19/300 to 400), The place where in Jokatte Railway Station has been renovated, it is better to rename it as " Pejavara " Railway Station, in honour of the late Sri Vishwesha Theertha Swamiji of Pejawar Math.

Each and every individual should think about this once again and should give their representation, seeking for the same with the board of railway authorities, I personnally visited Pejavara Matha really every one should visit and attain blessing from Guru Vrindavana with amogha chaitanya

I really support towards renaming the railway station, there by the moral value of the place of divinity will remain for ever, State and Central Railway minister should respect the demand and sentiments of local villagers and railway activists to change the name of the said station. There by everyone of us, honouring the sage who is no more, in a meaningful manner. Take positively and Rename of the Railways Station as " Pejavara " Railway Station

IF YOU ARE REALLY INTERESTED TO RENAME THE THOKUR RAILWAY STATION AS "PEJAWAR RAILWAY STATION" NO PROBLEM.
FIRSTLY, KINDLY RENAME THE MANGALORE JUNCTION RAILWAY STATION AS " LATE GEORGE FERNANDES RAILWAY STATION" BEING THE FOUNDER OF KONKAN RAILWAY, SINCE HIS 1ST DEATH ANNIVERSARY COMING ON 29TH JANUARY 2020.

Instead of naming railway station, he can urge people to learn few values like respecting all people of the society from that great swamiji..... By renaming our country will not develop, It will develop only when there is harmony and respect.
These people are born to rename..... Al last you will rename Modi as Father of Nation in Bapu's place
