Mangaluru: MLA D Vedavyas Kamath conducts ground-breaking for drainage works

Mangaluru, Jan 13: MLA D Vedavyas Kamath laid the foundation stone for construction of a drainage at Melthota, Kulshekar of Padavu ward here.

He said that Rs 20 lac is provided for drainage to make rainwater flow freely in it and the ground-breaking is being performed in the presence of people.

He said that the work is taken up as people had requested to conduct this work for the last several months. A list of works needed in Kulshekar vicinity is prepared. “A plan from various departments is prepared for them. The 70 houses in the area may get relief in the rainy season from the problems being faced in the rainy season,” said MLA Kamath.

Locals Sujan Das Kudupu, Vasanth J Poojary, Vishwajith, Dinesh, Prasanna, Harini, Prem, Sudhir, Sandeep, Ravi Umikkan, Jayanti, Naveen, Lancy, Sampath, Irene, Richard, Sudha Narayan, Geeta, Melric, Nevil and others were present.
