Mangaluru, Jan 13: There will be a rally and conference for protection of nature on January 25, at 9.30 am by Canara organization for development and Peace, Our Lady of Mercy church Fajir and Lavdatho C Committee Mangaluru diocese.

Jeeth Milan Roche, environment lover will inaugurate the rally. Mangaluru Bishop Dr Peter Paul Saldanha will preside. Guests of honour will be Seetaram Shetty, president of Fajir gram panchayat, Fr John Baptist Saldanha, Permannur deanery chief priest, Lavina Danti, president Sneha Mahasangha Fajir, Anita D’Souza, president Harekala gram panchayat, Rajendra Kalbavi, resource person, director, district Nirmithi Kendra Surathkal, Fr Oswald Monteiro, director of CODP, Fr Sunil Veigas, priest of Fajir church, Fr Richard D’ Souza, director CCC and Laudato si'.

The rally will be held from Sannapadavu till Fajir church ending with a conference at Fajir church auditorium. Conference organizing committee has informed that nearly 500 people are expected in the programme.
