Kundapur, Jan 16: The annual feast of St Joseph Vaz was celebrated with pomp and gaiety at Kannadakudru, the church devoted to him on Thursday, January 16.
Bishop emeritus of Mangaluru, Dr Aloysius Paul D’ Souza lead the festival Mass. He said that we should walk on the path shown by the saint. “The saint has given a message on this soil. Therefore, the church is constructed here in his name and we should follow his message,” he said in his homily.
Fr Albert Crasta Gangolli, Fr Stany Tauro, Kundapur, Fr Fred Mascarenhas, Padukone, Fr Deepak Furtado, Bidar, Cyril Menezes, Koteshwar, Fr Alphonso D’ Lima, Kota, Fr Charles Lewis, Trasi cooperated in the mass. John Steven Crasta helped as donor for the feast.
Bishop emeritus Dr Aloysius Paul D’ Souza was specially honoured on the occasion. Hundreds of devotees took part in the festival and got blessed by the saint.
