Karkala: Illegal trafficking - Police confiscate car, cattle

Karkala, Feb 18: Police personnel from Karkala rural police station led by Nasir Hussain, sub inspector, seized a car and cattle which were being transported illegally at Moodaru village here on Tuesday, February 18.

A cow and two calves were being transferred illegally without permit for slaughter in a Xylo car. The cattle were tied with ropes inside the car. However, the driver and another person that was in the car managed to escape. Police confiscated the car and the cattle.

A police case in this connection is registered at Karkala rural police.
