Karkala, Feb 22: Local MLA Sunil Kumar gave a call for assassinating Indians raising pro-Pakistan slogans through encounters.

He was speaking at a protest against traitors organized by BJP Yuva Morcha at Karkala bus stand on Friday February 21.

"The Prime Minister and legal luminaries have been repeatedly clarifying that Citizenship Ammendment Act (CAA) does not in any way harm the Indian Muslims. I do not understand the need for the Muslims to take to streets to protest against CAA. The masks of the protesters, who claim that they are protesting against CAA with national flags in hand, have fallen off. Deep within, they have been praying for the welfare of Pakistan. Sringeri and Koppa here happen to be the hub of naxal activities. The girl from this region has hailed Pakistan in a public platform for giving fillip to these forces again. The central government has taken bold initiatives to solve Kashmir problem and reign in terrorism. I urge the home department to register cases against programme organizers at Bengaluru," he said.

He called upon Hindus to be alert about the efforts being made to create a Mini Pakistan in Karkala and that supporters of Pakistan are being groomed here.

BJP block president, Mahaveer Hegde, noted that traitors are spreading like Coronavirus in the country. He expressed the opinion that they should be nipped in the bud.

BJP leader Maniraj Shetty, Bola Jayaram Salian, Naveen Nayak, Ravindra Madiwala, Prakash Rao, BJP Yuva Morcha president Vikhyat Shetty and others were present.
