CBI arrests arms dealers' conduit in J&K licence case


New Delhi, Feb 25 (IANS): The Central Bureau of Investigation (CBI) has arrested Rahul Grover for working as conduit of gun dealers in the J&K bulk arms licence issuance case probe.

He was produced before a Srinagar court, which remanded him to 10-day police custody.

Grover was also allegedly involved in financial transactions with other co-accused, including officials of various districts of then J&K state, said a senior CBI official here on Tuesday.

The case pertains to issuance of bulk arms licence between 2012 and 2016 allegedly by the Deputy Commissioners of various districts. The CBI had registered the case on the consent of the J&K government and further notification from the central government.
