Srinagar, Feb 25 (IANS): Two terrorist associates have been arrested in Pulwama in south Kashmir on the basis of an intelligence input, the police said on Tuesday.
They have been identified as Aquib Maqbool Lone, a resident of Ratnipora, Pulwama, and Naseer Ahmad Hurra, a resident of Gulbugh, Pulwama.
As per police records they were involved in assisting the active terrorists operating in Pulwama.
"Incriminating materials including explosive substance and ammunition were recovered from their possession," police said.
According to the investigation, they were conspiring to facilitate the carrying out of terror attacks in the areas of Pulwama thereby disrupting peace and normal activities.
Police have registered an FIR and further investigation in the matter is in progress.
