Bidar: Sedition case - Five secure conditional bail

Bidar, Mar 4: Five persons including Shaheen group of educational institutions president, Dr Abdul Qadir, were granted condition bail by the district chief and sessions court here on Tuesday, March 3.

In addition to Qadir, the others who were granted bail are school staff, Allauddin Pasha, Mehtab Sait, Bilal Inamdar and Abdul Khalekh. All the five have been asked to furnish individual bonds amounting to two lac rupees each, provide sureties of three people each, not to leave city without permission, submit documents, and to cooperate with the investigation.

On January 21 this year, children of Shaneen primary school had enacted a play against the Citizenship Amendment Act. One of the girls was made to say that those who seek documents under National Register of Citizens would be thrashed with footwear. The video footage containing this scene had been shared by journalist Yousuf Rahim, on Facebook. Social worker Neelesh Rakshal, who watched this, had filed complained to New Town police station here. The police had registered case with sedition charges.
