PU exams begin in 1,016 centres across Karnataka

Bengaluru, Mar 4: The annual second pre-university (PU) examination with state syllabus is commenced on Wednesday, March 4.

The exam was held at a total of 1,016 examination centres across the state. As many as 6,80,498 students will be appearing for the examination which will be held from March 4 to 23. Out of them, 90,992 are repeat students while 27,976 are private candidates. As many as 2,01,659 students will be taking the examinations in arts faculty, 2,61,833 in commerce, and 2,17,006 in science.

Deputy commissioners are in charge of affairs. Vehicles carrying examination question papers and answer sheets from the district treasury and examination centres are being provided with GPS. CCTV s provided to examination centres will be directly monitored from the offices of the deputy commissioner.

The strong room of PU education department at Malleshwara here too will be closely guarded and the examinations will be held without leaving any room for goof up, the officials said.
