Puttur: Bajrang Dal worker attacked with dagger

Puttur, Mar 5: Ranjit (25) from Shantigodu village,who is an active worker of Bajrang Dal and is in charge of Puttur town affairs, was attacked by daggers on Wednesday March 4 night.

Ranjit was going in his two-wheeler to Savanur where the home of his grandparents is located, when four persons on two motorbikes attacked him with daggers near Sarve village, it is said. Ranjit escaped from suffering serious injuries but his hand was injured. He stands admitted into a private hospital here for treatment.

Ranjit said in his complaint to the police that two of the attackers were wearing helmets while the other two had covered their faces with masks.
