Shivamogga: Car hits tree - Three dead, one serious

Shivamogga, Mar 9: Three died on the spot and one was seriously injured after a car rammed into a roadside tree late night on Sunday March 8. The accident happened at Kaspadi bend on national highway 206 passing through the taluk.

The deceased have been identified as Siddappa (40), Venkatesh (52), and retired employee, Thippanna (61), all of whom work for Raichur Thermal Power plant at Raichur. Another person Nagaraj, who was also in the car, survived with serious injuries. He has been admitted into hospital.

All the four were going to Jog in Sagar taluk to take part in a christening ceremony of the daughter of their former colleague currently working for Karnataka Power Corporation in a Hyundai car.

A case in this regard was filed in Sagar rural police station.
