Puttur: Car driver dies in accident involving KSRTC bus

Puttur, Mar 9: After a car hit a bus of Karnataka State Road Transport Corporation (KSRTC), the driver of a car lost his life. The accident happened on Mangaluru - Bengaluru national highway at Uppinangady on the night of Sunday, March 8.

The deceased was Dayesh (26), son of Balappa Gowda from Kutruppady in Kadaba taluk. He was driving a Maruti Swift car towards Uppinangady from the direction of Nelyady when the car which came on the wrong lane of the road in front of City Land, hit the KSRTC bus that was moving to Kadaba.

Car driver, Dayesh, suffered grave injuries in the accident. He was taken to hospital but he breathed his last on the way. He was reportedly working as a driver for a gas agency at Puttur. He, it is gathered, was a sincere worker.

A case relating to this accident was registered in Puttur traffic police station.
