Karkala, Mar 9: International Women’s Day was celebrated by Belman Swachata Tanda here by felicitating Belman Shantikere resident, former Belman gram panchayat president Chikki and hundred years old farmer, Juliana Rebello at their respective residences.
It was prayed that the achievements of these two elders may be an inspiration to all the young generation and the almighty may protect them for many more years and provide them good health.
N M Hegde, Vishwanath Patkar, Mallika Rao, Anita D’ Souza, Nithin Rao, Doroty Pinto, Chandrika Tantri and Ganesh Acharya were present.
