Mangaluru: Missing medical representative found to have committed suicide

Mangaluru, Mar 10: Manoj (32), a medical representative staying in a house near Akashvani quarters at Urwa Store here, had gone missing a few days back. Now, it has been found that he hanged himself in a hotel room located within the limits of Bunder police station here. The fact that Manoj had ended his life came into the open on the evening of March 7.

Manoj had come back home after work in the evening of March 4. He had taken a rope with him. He had not replied when he was questioned by the family members about the purpose behind taking the rope with him and had driven away in his motorbike, family members said. Later, a missing case was filed in Urwa police station.

Manoj happened to be a native of Hirebandady near Uppinangady. He had married eight months back and had begun to stay with wife near Urwa Store. Reasons which forced him to take this unfortunate step could not be ascertained.

Manoj had withdrawn Rs 5,000 by using an ATM in Puttur on March 5. Therefore, the family members believed that he would have gone to Bengaluru. His motorbike was later found near Puttur.
