Mangaluru, Mar 12: Glaucoma Awareness Week (Special Screening for Glaucoma) will be organised by Father Muller Hospital Thumbay on March 16 to 28 from 9 am to 4 pm with a slogan of 'Get Your Eyes Tested Today For Glaucoma', 'Save Your Sight'.
Facts about Glaucoma:
The leading cause of irreversible blindness in the world. It is the silent thief of sight without noticeable symptoms. Risk of Glaucoma increases after the age of 40. Glaucoma is not curable, vision lost cannot be restored, timely treatment can prevent deterioration. Untreated – It causes progressive nerve damage and irreversible visual loss.
