Mangaluru, Mar 20: Anti Corruption Bureau (ACB) police here have registered a case against tahsildar Guruprasad and Mangaluru 'B' division revenue inspector, on the change of helping two persons to illegally build houses in government land.

There were allegations that fake records were created to falsely show that Souya R N and Preeti D'Cunha Pereira had built their houses before January 1, 2012, in survey no 1554/2B of Kodialbail in Mangaluru 'A' revenue division even though they did not have any pre-existing houses in that survey number. It is said that they got title deeds illegally under the 94 cc rule for the house sites by creating fake documents to show that they were residing there since long.

Soumya R N raised bank loan and built a house in the disputed site in 2018. Similarly, Preeti D'Cunha, who did not have any house in this survey number, was given title deeds under 94 cc scheme of the government based on fake documents.

On the charge of helping the concerned to drive illegal benefit from the scheme, Mangaluru tahsildar Guruprasad and revenue inspector Joseph Walgat Pereira and Soumya R N have been named as accused in the case.
