Kundapur, Mar 27: An isolation ward with ten beds is opened in Kundapur taluk hospital for the benefit of those who arrive from abroad and elsewhere. Old Adarsh hospital near fair market, the national highway is being converted as a home quarantine hospital. Adarsh hospital was shifted near Sangam as the national highway was being widened. As the old building is retained, the family of Dr Adarsh Hebbar has come forward to convert this building as a home quarantine hospital.

Kundapur assistant commissioner on directions from deputy commissioner Jagadeesh has directed the municipal council chief executive Gopalakrishna Shetty to clean the Adarsh building, provide basic facilities and conduct minor repairs.

The building is being cleaned by the municipal council and will be vacated by the evening. IRB barricade is being removed for ease of emergency entrance. All the rooms in the old Adarsh hospital will be converted for quarantine.
