Kasargod, Apr 3: Eight members of a single-family living at Bevinje in Chengala gram panchayat have been suffering from coronavirus infection. They had come in contact with a coronavirus positive person. All of them are being treated in a hospital.
Bevinje village has nine coronavirus patients including the above family. In Chengala gram panchayat as a whole, 16 coronavirus patients spread over eight wards are under treatment. In this gram panchayat, 491 are in-home quarantine. Health officials have been working hard to bring the infection under control.
