Kaup, Apr 3: Many poor families are finding it very difficult to bear the brunt of lockdown that is underway in the whole country to fight the coronavirus pandemic. Biruver Kaup Seva Trust organization has come up with a project called 'Brahmashree Narayana Guru Santvana' in order to take care of the poor families in and around Kaup.
The organization identified 45 poor families residing in areas of Kaup town municipality, Innanje gram panchayat, Kurkalu gram panchayat, Majoor gram panchayat, Shirva gram panchayat and Manipur gram panchayat, who are living in rented house and depend on daily wage for their food. The organization distributed essential items of daily use like rice, pulses, vegetables, coconut and other items to these families.
President of the trust, Balakrishna R Kotian thanked Kaup tahsildar, all panchayat officers and members of respective gram panchayats, station officer of Shirva police station and Kaup police station, Deviprasad Shirva, who made arrangement of vehicles, Majur gram panchayat president who provided the space, Vidwan K P Srinivas Tantri, Malini Shetty and Dinesh Shetty who made arrangements of food. The beneficiaries of this scheme also thanked the organization for their noble gesture.
