Byndoor: Charred body of man recovered, cause of death unclear

Byndoor, Apr 3: Charred body of a man was found near Hosur in Yadthare village here on Thursday, April 2. The deceased has been identified as Saji (40), a local.

Saji was a resident of Atyadi. He had married a lady, Chandu Marathi, from Hosur in the past. After tensions escalated between the duo, he was driven out of the house. He thereafter had begun to stay in the house of a friend. He was in the process of constructing a house of his own. His body was found by the side of this partially completed structure.

The incident appears to have happened during late-night hours. Workers who came on Thursday morning to continue house construction work saw his body and informed others.

Byndoor police have registered a case. Assistant superintendent of police Hariram Shankar, police circle inspector Suresh Nayak, and station house officer of Byndoor Sangeetha, visited the spot and undertook an investigation. It could not be said immediately whether it was a case of suicide or murder. Postmortem report is awaited.
